For Semester 1, the Primary 1 pupils learn basic drawing and coloring skills. The theme for the Semester was Animal Friends. Pupils are taught to associate basic shapes when drawing these animals.
For example, when they were taught to draw the chicks, I associate it with circles, triangles and v-shape for the grasses. For the dog, pupils associated it with circles, ovals, sqaures and rectangles. With these shapes as guides, my pupils were able to draw the animals.
